Seeking refuge in the workshop

March 21, 2020

I’m not sure what other people are doing to cope with our pandemic reality, but escaping to the workshop as often as possible is my elixir. Making sawdust or simply surrounding myself with the tools that enable creativity is my surefire way to rise above the gloom. Throw in a cold beer, a stool, my favorite playlist, and the experience gets even better. Occasionally my wife will join me to help organize, find room for something we’ve both been tripping over, or to lose herself on her lathe, honing woodturning skills she learned from her dad many years ago.

I took some photos after a day of organizing and pushing the broom way more than needed (best therapy ever). This little workshop never looked so clean. Enjoy the photos (click to enlarge), and stay home and stay safe.
