I’m not sure what other people are doing to cope with our pandemic reality, but escaping to the workshop as often as possible is my elixir. Making sawdust or simply surrounding myself with the tools that enable creativity is my surefire way to disconnect. Throw in a cold beer and my favorite stool and the experience gets even better. Occasionally my wife will join me to help organize, find room for something we’ve both been tripping over, or to lose herself on her lathe, honing woodturning skills she learned from her dad many years ago.
I took some photos after a full day of organizing and pushing the broom way more than needed (best therapy ever). This little workshop had never looked so clean. Fortunately, we do have a goal of settling into a larger, more dedicated space so we can spread our wings again. Tight as this current space is, we managed to pack it all in and make it as productive as our last shop, which was smaller yet. Enjoy the photos (click to enlarge), and stay home and stay safe.
